UB Series Cutting

Hand-Scraped, High-Mass Foundation

The WELE UB Series bridge mills are built from the ground up for rigidity, geometric accuracy, and long-term stability. Each machine starts with a heavily ribbed, double-column cast-iron base and bridge that are hand-scraped at all primary mating surfaces—column feet, bridge ways, ballscrew supports, and motor mounts—to achieve true geometric alignment far tighter than standard JIS 0 accuracy. WELE uses precision-fit, serialized components and a vertically integrated quality process so that every column, ram, and head casting is matched and aligned as a system, reducing deflection, wear, and the need for frequent ballscrew or spindle replacement.

Structurally, the UB platform combines cylindrical roller linear guideways, an oversized ram, and a six-carriage guide truck arrangement to deliver exceptional stiffness under heavy spindle loads and during aggressive side-milling.

The WELE UB Series spindle platform is engineered for precision, rigidity, and smooth high-load cutting, built on a foundation of hand-scraped alignment and premium drive components. Every spindle motor, step-shift assembly, and transmission interface is hand-fitted to true datums in the ram casting, ensuring perfect coaxial alignment and exceptional long-term accuracy.

Performance Cutting Built on Rigidity and Alignment

The WELE UB Series Bridge Mill is engineered to deliver superior cutting capability through structural rigidity, balanced spindle dynamics, and precision machine geometry. Every major mating surface is hand-scraped for true alignment, ensuring flawless transmission of spindle force into the workpiece without deflection 

The oversized ram construction, supported by six carriage guide trucks, provides exceptional stability during heavy material removal and complex multi-axis contouring operations, resulting in smooth cutting conditions and extended spindle and tooling life 

Its dual-plane Y-axis support dramatically reduces spindle overhang and shortens the drive shaft by 800mm compared to competitive designs, improving stiffness and cutting accuracy under high-load conditions
