Its forged, high-rigidity column and thick-walled cast iron bed are designed to withstand the intense forces of heavy cutting while maintaining exceptional stability. The box-type bed construction provides superior damping characteristics, effectively minimizing vibration and thermal distortion to ensure consistent machining accuracy during prolonged operations.

The FA1050S integrates box guideways on all axes, featuring JTEKT’s unique static slide technology that maintains precision over years of operation. Dual Y-axis ballscrews operate in perfect tandem, delivering high-speed acceleration without deflection or backlash. A symmetrical column design minimizes thermal displacement, while integrated bed and guideways enhance rigidity during cutting. Together, these structural advancements create a foundation that ensures uncompromising precision, stability, and reliability for complex 5-axis machining applications.

The FA1050S 5-Axis is equipped with JTEKT’s advanced spindle lineup, engineered for versatility and uncompromising performance in both heavy-duty and high-speed machining environments. Each spindle option is designed to deliver optimal cutting power, rigidity, and precision for a wide range of applications—from deep metal removal to fine surface finishing of complex parts.

Key Spindle Features:

  • Standard 6,000 RPM Spindle – Ideal for large cutter operations, featuring a dual-row cylindrical roller bearing at the front for superior radial load capacity and exceptional resistance to impact and deflection.
  • High-Torque Gear Spindle – Delivers up to 45 kW (60 HP) of power and 1,305.5 N·m (963 ft-lb) of torque for heavy-duty cutting of hard materials, combining strength and precision with a φ110 mm front bearing diameter and BT50 taper.
  • Wide-Range Spindle – Provides high rigidity and rotational accuracy across low- and high-speed operations with a 15,000 RPM capability, 30/25 kW (40/33 HP) motor, 262.6 N·m (194 ft-lb) torque, and φ100 mm spindle diameter.
