Productivity is Driven by Spindle Performance

At JTEKT Machinery, we understand that choosing whether to repair, rebuild, or replace a spindle is a critical decision for any shop. Cost, spindle age, and repair complexity all factor into the process—and that’s why our customers trust JTEKT’s unmatched expertise. Backed by proprietary design and manufacturing techniques, our team of factory-trained spindle builders and certified technicians can rebuild spindles to original OEM specifications, restoring them to like-new performance. No other supplier can replicate this level of precision and quality.

Our inhouse, state-of-the-art spindle repair department is staffed with engineers and technicians who bring decades of experience across a wide variety of spindle types. Every rebuild follows a rigorous process: spindles are evaluated, disassembled, cleaned, inspected, measured, balanced, and reassembled to original factory print specifications.

We are the only certified spindle rebuild & repair service provider for the following brands:

The JTEKT Machinery Spindle Standard

Every spindle that enters our facility is rebuilt to exact OEM specifications, backed by our ISO 9001 and QS-9000 TE certifications—the automotive industry’s gold standards for continuous improvement, defect prevention, and waste reduction. Our Rebuild Process Includes but not limited to:

  • Verifying motor air-cooling flow and ensuring motor horsepower meets OEM standards.
  • Inspecting and replacing all seals, O-rings, and drawbar springs with new OEM components.
  • Leak-checking hydraulic cylinders, lubrication systems, and flow meters for proper operation.
  • Monitoring peak-to-peak vibration levels and halting the process if tolerances are exceeded.
  • Checking bearing and motor cooling systems for stability and proper performance.
  • Monitoring bearing temperatures during run-in for accuracy and reliability.
  • Balancing each spindle on a two-plane, hard bearing Schneck balancer to ISO grade G1.0 or better.

Aftermarket Spindle Companies Can’t Match Us

When your spindle goes down, every lost hour impacts your production and your bottom line. Aftermarket spindle providers lack this critical understanding, often falling short of customer expectations - whether due to their use of inferior/repurposed parts, failure to provide ongoing support, long lead-times, or by offering limited or no warranty on the services rendered.

At JTEKT, we know you can’t afford to choose between speed and quality—so we deliver both. Our spindle rebuild process is designed for rapid turnaround – and with our exclusive access to proprietary prints, procedures and components, only JTEKT Engineers can rebuild your spindle to perform like new.

Why we’re better:

  • 9,000+ OEM bearings and spare parts in stock – ensuring immediate access to critical components.
  • 200+ fully tested spindles ready for delivery – enabling quick replacements without delay.
  • Tested core spindle exchange program – allows for a 1-day spindle change-out when needed.
  • Average 6–8 day turnaround – even for complex integrated motor spindles.
