The foundation of the machine is a finely engineered bed made from grade 25 fine-grain cast iron, selected for its excellent vibration-damping characteristics. The bed is heavily ribbed for maximum rigidity and has been thermally seasoned to ensure long-term dimensional stability, preventing deformation even after years of demanding use. Its geometry is carefully designed to promote efficient chip flow and removal, with the option of chip evacuation from either the rear or the side, allowing manufacturers to adapt the machine seamlessly to their plant layout. The spindle assembly is built with super-precision cylindrical roller bearings—a front bearing for superior rigidity and a rear bearing for axial and radial stability—ensuring outstanding performance even under heavy cutting conditions. The spindle provides precise indexing in controlled increments for accurate part positioning, while a powerful braking system locks the spindle securely during live-tool operations, disengaging automatically during turning or indexing. With full C-axis functionality, the spindle enables bidirectional motion that can be interpolated with the X and Z axes, expanding the machine’s capability for complex contouring and multi-process machining.
Every spindle is assembled and tested in a controlled clean-room environment, guaranteeing consistency, reliability, and quality. The LT-2 MSY is equipped with a robust 12-station servo turret designed for flexibility and precision in complex machining. Featuring a BMT55 Duplomatic disk-type design, the turret supports radial tools for both forward and backward machining, while all tool stations are capable of accommodating rotating tools for maximum versatility. A single servo motor powers both turret indexing and live tooling, ensuring fast, accurate tool changes and efficient operation. With Y-axis capability of +50 mm, the turret expands machining possibilities for off-center milling and drilling. The integrated live tooling system delivers impressive performance with a rotary tool speed of up to 5,000 rpm and 6 HP of rotary tool power, making it ideal for demanding applications that require productivity, precision, and reliability in a single setup.
