LS-1000 Series Turning Centers are engineered with a one-piece, 45° slant bed design, providing the ideal foundation for optimal cutting conditions and superior machining performance. Constructed from high-grade cast iron, the bed offers an excellent damping coefficient to absorb vibration and minimize thermal deformation, ensuring accuracy and consistency even during extended heavy-duty operations.

The machine’s box guideways are induction-hardened, delivering maximum hardness and long-term wear resistance while supporting the rigid structural integrity required for precision cutting. Complementing this foundation is a high-rigidity spindle structure, specifically designed to resist deformation, handle powerful cutting forces, and deliver long-lasting durability in the most demanding environments.

A heavy-duty turret, engineered in-house by Taiwan Takisawa, ensures rapid and accurate positioning, while the robust construction supports multi-process machining with reliability and efficiency. To further enhance cutting capability, the LS-1000 incorporates a two-step gearbox, providing extremely high torque at low spindle speeds. This allows for outstanding heavy-cutting performance while still maintaining precise surface finishes and machining accuracy.

The LS-1000 Series is equipped with Taiwan Takisawa’s in-house manufactured spindles, designed to deliver the highest levels of precision, reliability, and durability. Each spindle is built using premium-quality bearings, ensuring smooth operation, excellent load capacity, and long-term stability under demanding machining conditions.

To further guarantee accuracy and performance, the spindle is assembled within a finely bored cast iron housing under air-conditioned clean-room conditions. This meticulous assembly process, combined with Takisawa’s proven design expertise, results in spindles that provide outstanding machining accuracy, superior cutting capability, and long service life. At the same time, the spindle design emphasizes ease of maintenance and low cost of service, supporting long-term productivity and efficiency.

All LS-1000 models are equipped with a high-precision gearbox, featuring 0-grade fine-ground gears for maximum accuracy and smooth power transmission. The gearbox enables the spindle to deliver exceptionally high torque at low spindle speeds, making it ideally suited for heavy cutting applications while still achieving highly accurate surface finishes.

LS-1000 Series Turning Centers are equipped with a robust, in-house engineered tailstock from Taiwan Takisawa, designed to deliver high thrust and strong clamping force for maximum stability when machining long or heavy workpieces. This heavy-duty design ensures precise support and alignment, maintaining accuracy and surface quality during even the most demanding turning operations.

For ease of operation, the tailstock body is carried and positioned by the turret, allowing for quick, accurate setup with minimal operator effort. The hydraulically actuated quill is available in both fixed and rotary configurations, giving manufacturers the flexibility to choose the right setup for their specific machining requirements.
