To meet diverse machining requirements, the SB Series provides multiple headstock configurations, including 30-degree, 90-degree, extension, and manual universal options. To support this strength, the SB Series employs ultra-heavy loading linear roller guideways across all axes, with the Y-axis enhanced by dual upper and lower roller guides for superior stability. The crossbeam and column bases are enlarged to increase rigidity, while the Z-axis offers extended strokes of up to 1,400 mm to accommodate larger, more complex workpieces. With its wide-span saddle support and modular three-piece casting structure, the SB Series is optimized for both rigidity and versatility—making it an ideal solution for manufacturers requiring reliable, high-performance machining of large-scale components
At the core, a two-speed geared transmission provides the torque required for ultra-heavy cutting and rough machining applications, while optional direct-drive spindles are available for light alloy materials and high-speed production. All spindle heads feature robust BT50 sub-spindle tapers and support a maximum tool diameter of 215 mm (8.46 in), ensuring compatibility with a wide range of tooling.

The SB Series can be upgraded with the M Function Option, transforming the machine into a compact and cost-effective 5-sides machining center. This advanced functionality allows operators to complete multiple machining processes in a single setup, significantly reducing handling time, improving accuracy, and boosting overall productivity.
With the M function, the machine automatically manages vertical and horizontal head exchanges, headstock clamping, and tool changes. Operations such as vertical machining, horizontal machining with C-axis automatic indexing, and efficient multi-face processing are seamlessly integrated. Automatic tool exchange times are optimized (approx. 35 seconds chip-to-chip vertically, and 50 seconds horizontally), while head exchanges are completed in about 60 seconds, minimizing downtime.
